LINDELL TERRACE

ORGANIZED DOWNSIZING

The clients sold their house and moved into a flat where the highest ceiling was 8 ½ feet. The ceiling was concrete and the embedded electrical boxes could not be moved. The clever solutions included constructing a light shelf for up-light, flexible chandeliers, and glass walls. The finishes and upholstery were muted, the furniture was light and low and the same wood floor was used throughout the open area. Built-in shelves wrapped the space to organize the owners’ art and book collections.
