IBBY'S BISTRO

The butterfly garden donor, Elizabeth Danforth, is honored in this place. We renovated the bistro into a space that is filled with light and features butterfly kaleidoscopes at different scales and colors. We executed the architectural, interior and graphic designs. The palette has shades of green and blue with complementary organic and geometric patterns in the fabric and wall tile. The entry vestibule has butterflies on the ceiling and pebble tile on the floor. The tall banquettes add a soft tactile and acoustic quality to the dining area. The large butterfly mural shows imaginative combinations of wings and patterns that parallels the new menu developed just for the bistro with unusual combinations of familiar favorites.
