S2

HOME OF THE YEAR

The clients wanted a modern design but not like their old house. Where the old one was dark, this one is light brick; where the window frames were dark, these are silver; where a bowling alley was fun, a pickle ball court is the highlight of this house.

The team of architects, interior designer and builder collaborated for a second time to bring a new vision to St Louis. Although the design and building processes were difficult during the Covid years amid some very wet weather, the vision materialized, and the clients have settled into their new way of living.

The great room is square with all the functions for living grouped together- kitchen with dining and living. These activities should flow easily outside and lead to a view of mature trees. The textured wood panels add pattern and scale and hidden pivoting panels hide passages to private areas of the house.

The house focuses on an interior courtyard for privacy and tranquility. The translucent glass windows filter light and add a sense of calm.

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL

"Working with Susan and her team was such an exceptionally positive experience that we didn’t hesitate to hire Bower Leet Design for a second project. They have a remarkable ability to listen and truly bring our vision to life, combining professionalism with a creative execution that exceeded our expectations. They are quite simply our first choice for any design work."
